This entrance detail was exposed 10-15 minutes prior to sunrise, so a portion of the outdoor lighting is due to the brightening blue sky. Pre-dawn exterior photographs, if captured with daylight balanced film (or digital settings) accentuates the warm, inviting interior lighting. The rich golden color is very attractive, and is usually in sharp contrast to the exterior surfaces. In this case, the exterior lighting also shows indications of the greenish nearby street lamps.
