This building is an old church at the Stony Point Cemetery in the Vinland Valley of Douglas County. At this time of year a large oak tree casts its shadow upon the church front late in the day as sunset approaches. The sun was quite low, and when I positioned myself directly in front of the building, I was casting my own shadow onto the ground in the foreground of the image. I stepped a ways to my left and using the movements of my view camera, I was able to regain the correct perspective without my shadow in the image.
