I discovered this old cemetery accidently while exploring the roads in southern Douglas county. There is no sign advertizing the cemetery from the main road, and the "lane" to the cemetery is nearly a quarter of a mile. It is the oldest cemetery in the county, and was home to many huge pine trees. Most of the headstones are old and unique. On this day a large thunderstorm was devoloping late in the day to the east, but the clear sky to the west allowed the sun to hit the trees and headstones and illuminate them against the dark sky. To further accentuate the contrast of the scene and to better show the contrast in the clouds, I used a deep orange filter (#22).
