Even when the Autumn is not putting on an exceptional show of color, I nevertheless always make a few trips to the historic Black Jack Battlefield near Baldwin to see the sugar maples. Backlit autumn leaves can be dramatic, and I was able to catch this sunset through the trees. I liked the symmetric shadows, and the late-day light also served to accent some of the colored leaves which had already fallen.
