On one of my few trips out during the unimpressive autumn of 2007, I went to Lone Star Lake. There are many Oaks in this area, and I wanted to see if they were any more colorful than the majority of foliage. They were, in fact, relatively impressive and I set up along the western shore to wait for the late-day light. Just as the shadows were becoming interesting I noticed a distant boat making a wake that would reach me in just a couple of minutes. I quickly made several exposures before the disturbance destroyed the calm water. The water never calmed again before the light was gone.
