While walking at the Black Jack Battle field a few years ago, I looked up and noticed this simple view of the converging tops of the surrounding maple trees. The opposite strong trunks made for a nice composition, and I began to compose the image. My tripod was set very low to the ground so the camera could see as much surrounding foliage as possible, and my camera was pointed straight up. Unfortunately, I had only brought my eye-level viewing screen, so I had to lie on my back, or side, to see the image! I finally struggled on the ground beneath the camera enough to make this exposure.
