On returning from an early spring trip around Kansas, I decided to take a short detour into the Flint Hills. This overlookwith the lone tree is typical of the almost endless expanse of grassland still seen in certain regions of the Hills. The cumulus cloudswere also worthy subjects in their own right, and a #12 filter was used to increase their contrast slightly. As typically happens, the cloud shadows also formed a nice variation on the distant hills and valleys.
